Welcome to Dan’s Holland Lop Blog. My name is Dan Grande, and I have been raising quality Hollands since 2003. It wasn’t until 2006 that I started to show my Hollands in ARBA sanctioned shows. The first year showing was an eye opening experience! Competition in the breed is tough! I spent a lot of time reevaluating my herd; sending old stock out and bringing new ones in. I must have turned over my herd at least 4 times before I god the right mix of Hollands to start to produce show quality.
Along the way, I met some terrific folks who offered advice and were willing to share some of their Hollands with me. The largest impact on my herd came from the Hollands I brought in from THF Saynora (Tracy Lukeman and Jenna Buchenauer). Not only did these ladies help me out by sharing terrific stock, but they offered critical advice along the way!
